[REDeye] 1st Rifles Weekly Report

                   HQ REPORT

Report W26-6-17

It has been a good week for the 1st Rifles. With the commencement of our weekly Project Reality Ops and our ARMA 3 Ops going from strength to strength. Full wrap up below.

                    [REDeye] PROJECT REALITY WEEKLY OPS

‘In the thick of it Thursdays’ kicked off this past week. With excellent turnout and a whole lot of fun had by all. The Members who were present fought through several maps. With a variety of Vehicle and Infantry combat missions.

This Ops makes a welcome addition to our regular weekly Ops. HQ are certain that we will see significant growth in our PR player base in the coming weeks and months. Helped in no small part by the fact that the game is FREE and we have eliminated the most annoying part of COOP by running our own Server, Public players.

See link for Game download and Server information.

                                        ARMA 3 WEEKLY OPS

Saturday night saw the rolling out of another excellent Ops for our ARMA 3 players. Ran by CAPT Jazza and LCPL Winter Soldier, the Ops was a welcome step away from the usual ARMA fare, with varied Objectives and a dynamic scenario setting controlled by the ‘Zeus’ in LCPL Winter Soldier.

See the LCPLs excellent report in the Steam Group regarding the Ops.

ARMA 3 is on sale at 66% off currently. GET IT NOW!

                          DAY OF INFAMY SERVER DROPPED

With the Company expanding in numbers and in the games we are playing, HQ have put a focus on the groups ‘core’ games.

With this in mind we have ended the run of our Day of Infamy Server. A fun side bar for the Rifles, Day of Infamy does not really suit our playstyle or ROE. It is designed around a PvP setup, with fast paced objectives and close quarters maps.

We have enjoyed several Ops with the game but realise that overall it detracts from the focus of the Company.

As always we have had a good week of promotions. It’s always great to see a Rifle show their stuff and take on more responsibilities within the Company, so let’s take a moment to congratulate the following Rifles for their successes:

                                                Senior NCOs

Sergeant Polishe the tuurd.

I quote CAPT Jazza, “Recommend CPL Polishe for promotion. CPL Polishe is a dedicated Rifle with great leadership skills. He is a calm and collected Rifle who provides valuable assistance to Officers in the heat of the battle. He is a great Squad mate and excellent NCO. His dedication also extends off the field with his commitment to ARMA 3 by hosting the server. He is a fine example of what the [REDeye] 1st Rifles is striving for,”

HQ agree, the SGT is an excellent NCO, with good presence on the battlefield. His tactical knowledge and clear comms allow the SGT to positively effect every engagement. Rallying troops around him in a clutch or planning and executing complex assaults.

His commitment off the battlefield has been immense. Driving both discussion in the community and running and maintaining the ARMA3 battlespace.

Well done SGT. Continue striving for excellence from yourself and the Rifles in your charge.

HQ would like to welcome all new Privates into the Company, and look forward to seeing you all both in the field and getting involved back here at base.

                                    PLAYER OF THE WEEK

                                      LANCE CORPORAL WINTER SOLDIER

HQ would like to recognise LCPL Winter Soldier’s stellar commitment to the Company both on and off the battlefield, particularly in the ARMA theatre of Operations.

For countless hours spent organising scenarios, running them as the ‘Zeus’ player and helping any Rifles new to the ARMA 3 world the LCPL has walked the walk. He has proven to all in the Company his dedication and commitment.

He has also proven his ability and commitment on the field of battle. When the Combat Patrol he was a part of came under heavy and sustained attack, suffering several casualties and fighting a tactical retreat. The LCPL did not hesitate to put his own wellbeing on the line and carried on his back the badly injured Colonel. Making it out of contact and to the extraction point. Saving the Colonels life and successfully completing the mission.

It is these actions both on and off the battlefield that HQ wish to recognise. Please all in the Company join us in congratulating the LCPL.

                                     END REPORT
